Nasrani Liturgical Calandar
MY DREAMS
1. The name Syro-Malabar Church is a misnomer. It has to be changed to Mar Thoma Nazrani Church.
2. The Mar Thoma Nazrani Church is by nature a Patriarchal Church and the Head of this Church may be called “The Patriarch: The Gate and Head of All India”.
3. The Mar Thoma Nazrani Church can restore its glory by reintroducing the office of ‘Arkadayakon’ in the fullest traditional sense.
4. The Mar Thoma Nazrani Church ought to get back All- India Jurisdiction at the earliest. The Latin hierarchy of India has to hand over the administration of ‘Mylappur Centre’ {Chinnamala and Periamala} to the Mar Thoma Nazrani Church under its ownership.
All these external changes may be followed up with others leading to the actualization of my dreams. They are:
5. Our Nazrani families will recite Yama Prardhanakal-Ramsa, Liliea, Sapra etc in their families and Nazrani men shall assist in the the Holy Raza (Qurbana) as ‘Madbaha Sushrushees’.
6. I dream of a time when our Bishops and Priests realize the worth of ‘Varthamanapusthakam’ and of course of Mar Yousep kariyarttil and Paremmackal Thoma Kathanar. A time may come when our Bishops and priests prayerfully ‘read’, ‘meditate’ and ‘live’ the quintessential ‘Nazrani life’ which is depicted in the ‘Varthamanapusthkam’.
7. I dream of a day when ‘All Mar Thoma Nazranees’ {Mar Thoma Nazrani Church, Orthodox, Jacobite, Assyrian church, Malankara Catholics} celebrate the Holy Raza together, the Patriarch of Marthoma Nazrani Church leading the celebration.
